About Gordon Flooring
Roger and Michelle Gordon moved from Melbourne to Tannum Sands in 2013. Roger, already having 18 years of flooring experience at the time, quickly became the go-to contractor for some of the bigger names in town. In 2015 due to such high demand, he started Gordon Flooring. Originally just Michelle and himself, the team has now grown to eight people.
About Roger
Roger is an active member of the local community with his wife Michelle, a registered nurse. They both took up roles in the local surf life saving community after moving to Tannum Sands when their boys joined nippers. Roger has officiated at state-level competitions, and Michelle has obtained her bronze medallion. The most rewarding part for them is keeping active with friends and spending time outdoors with their children.
My Industry Experience
Roger began his apprenticeship in 1995 after Michelle’s father, John Osborne, asked Roger if he would like to learn a trade. John was one of Melbourne’s top floor layers and had a very successful business himself and could see Roger was a hard worker and had an eye for detail. Roger finished his apprenticeship early and won apprentice of the year three years in a row. Roger’s experience with a multitude of floor furnishings is rare in the industry.
